Guiding you towards a toxicity-free life
Guiding you towards a toxicity-free life
Michael Ray Arguello is the author of The Sword that Divides. He has served in the U.S. Army Infantry with two combat deployments. He has worked in the Department of Homeland Security supervising security forces, supervising incident management, and managing various programs related to performance, ideation, collaboration, and civil rights.
Michael currently works in the Department of Commerce managing international programs related to patent examination. He is also the owner of The Yokes on Us, a life coach service and abuse survivor community.
As a survivor of a very covert and manipulative form of domestic abuse, Michael stands against this abuse and uses his book, The Sword that Divides, as a method to expose this abuse to the public. Exposure leads to action, and his book is a catalyst to that as well as a manual.
Life is too short to not feel whole, and trials, tribulation, and triumph will achieve wholeness. After all, a gem cannot be polished without friction. I am an advocate for shadow work, and I have turned my suffering into gold and you can too.
The Sword That Divides is about recognizing and overcoming emotional and psychological abuse within families, schools, and other systems of influence. It serves as both a manual and a roadmap for readers on the journey toward self-actualization: learning to build healthy boundaries, resist manipulation, and strengthen self-confidence.
Blending practical guidance with creative “gaming” elements, the book turns the process of finding one’s voice into an interactive challenge. Readers are invited not just to read, but to play—discovering strategies, unlocking insights, and ultimately leveling up their resilience.
This work speaks to anyone who has experienced toxic dynamics and is ready to break free, as well as to those seeking deeper awareness of how manipulation operates in everyday life.
